Referring to your telegram re "Oldhamia" following telegram received from Baron Komura by Japanese Consul:- Telegram begins
"British Ship "Oldhamia" captured by Russian Fleet
Bashee Channel 19th. May. Captain and three others transferred to Russian Hospital Ship "Orel". On the 21st. May Captain saw his ship under escort of Russian converted Cruiser depart from line of fleet in easterly direction. According to opinion of Captain Ship may not be sunk. Captain and three others arrived Sasebo on board Russian Hospital Ship "Orel" and afterwards sent to Nagasaki where utmost care taken of them" Telegram ends
